MEATFEST: That's What She Said!

This year’s theme is The Office. Dwight Schrute, Michael Scott, Jim, Pam. All the sayings. All the memes. Come and have some fun while poking fun at the corporate world.

Everything you need to know about the party of the year is included on this website. Check out the meat schedule. Enter the meat weight contest. Send us pictures. Order a tshirt for access to the specials.  Ask us a question. Have fun.

Please RSVP. We really really appreciate it if you can tell us you are coming.

When you RSVP, please submit how many pounds of meat you think we will be cooking for the party. The guess closest to the actual pre-cooked weight of all the meat used will win a special something. Sorry but you need to be present to win, of course.

You can also check out the Facebook page for the site to see what people are saying. See what contests or suggestions the Millers have made or just check things out.

Every year we are so blessed to be able to share so many good times and great food with our friends so we would like to continue our outreach to the Worcester County Food Bank. Please bring your non perishable food items to MEATFEST and we will take your donations to the Food Bank after MEATFEST. Last year, we donated over 200 pounds of food and we are hoping to exceed that total again this year. There will be a box to place your donations when you get here.

If you are not sure about what to bring here is a list provided by the food bank.

See you at the BBQ!

TShirts are an important page of MEATFEST. Purchase a shirt to get access to the specials we will be making on that day.  Specials are announced on the day of MEATFEST. We have had pastrami, bacon cured ribs, super spicy wings, extra mac and cheese, spicy pickles, pork loin sandwiches, moinks, texas twinkies and burnt ends in the past but Chris has been busy “playing with his food” for the last year so you never know what might show up. If you don’t already, follow @playwithyourfoodnow or @bbqundergroundma on Instagram to see what we have been doing.

You will be able to pick up your shirt at the BBQ.

Additional Info

Please bring a chair or two. If you want to sit on the ground, a blanket also works. We also suggest setting up “camp” near some new friends. We have seen some life long friends made over a pile of pulled pork and a little mac and cheese. Maybe it will be your turn this year.

Please bring a six pack or two of the beverage of your choice to share with your new (and old) friends. Keep in mind that this is a community experience and a great place to try new things. We will be offering some limited home made beverages as well this year. Look for someone walking around with a bottle of hooch if you are interested.

We always encourage our friends to bring a side dish to share. Please keep in mind that we typically have between 125 and 170 of our closest friends at this event. We do not have a way to keep your signature jello mold cold or your super cool bacon wrapped rice cakes warm so plan accordingly.  Please bring your own serving tools if you can.  We will have gloves and sanitizer on the table.

Bring a yard game if you would like — please no Lawn Darts (we like ALL of our friends). Cornhole or Bocce can work. Games of skill that allow one hand to hold a rib bone or drink are your best choices. We might even have a disc golf basket to see if Chris can get you involved in his other obsession.

If you are sensitive to the sun (or the rain), you might want to consider bringing something to sit under. Several people have brought canopy tents in the past and these really work well. Keep in mind that MEATFEST is a rain or shine event. There is too much meat to postpone things to another day. Come prepared for the weather.
